We appreciate you visiting us at the WorldSkills Singapore Network Portal (WSNP). When you visit us, certain information about you becomes known to us. This Statement explains how we gather information and what we gather, and the rights you have over your private information.

To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our on-line information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

Information That We Gather From You

We collect information from our portal visitors. This includes visitor domain names (eg. pacific.net.sg), visitor email addresses (like amy@hotmail.com), the email addresses of people who email us, aggregated information on the pages of our portal that were visited by people, and information volunteered by members and visitors, for example, information provided to us by members when they register on the portal or other purpose.

How the Information Is Used

We use the information visitors provide on our portal to help answer your inquiries and provide solutions, to improve your experience on WSNP, and to notify visitors about new information about various events relating to our portal, or for security purposes.

We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to answer your inquiries and provide solutions or to enforce security. We use return email addresses to answer the e-mail we receive and to provide you with periodic updates and information about our portal and brands. These addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties, except as necessary for security purposes.

The WSNP uses computer coded files called “cookies” to recognize visitors, store visitor preferences, record user-specific information on pages of the portal visited, alert visitors to new areas of the portal we believe will interest them, to enhance return visits to our portal, and visitor access privileges on our portal as well as to track site usage. Visitors who do not accept cookies from our portal may not be able to access certain areas of our portal.

We also may perform statistical analyses of visitor movement on our portal in order to study interest in various areas of the portal. Personal information about visitors as an individual subscriber will not be provided to any third party without the visitor’s consent. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity first to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Changes to Our Privacy Statement

From time to time, we may use visitor information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our Privacy Statement. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the changes to our portal to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt-out of these new uses. However, WSNP reserves the right to change our policy whenever we see fit.
