finished crest of the stars and banner of the stars series(anime) finally got my dirty mitts on the translated novel, Crest of the Stars - Princess of the Empire... hail tokyopop!

Then how abt Ghost in a Shell (GIAS) and Death Note (DN), better than COTS??

There's a movie on GIAS but not sure when was it out... DN is this coming 19 Oct 06.

Ghost in the Shell you mean, GitS.

Better or not... it's not exactly a fair comparison... Both are not exactly the same genre.

But I love GitS too.

New movie?
Lets see...

DN... I've not read any materials on DN, but the general sentiment on the ground is that people are rather excited about it.

watched DN the movie... the sequel is coming in this dec 2006

hmmms... generally nothing exciting leh =\ but i'll be grabbing the manga from a friend to double check first before i totally write it off.

Hmmm... Classified as Science Fiction > Space Opera

If you like stuff like Star Wars and/or Lord of the Rings, you can give it a try. It's like star wars in the sense where space empires duke it out with each other etc etc., and like lord of the rings in the sense where the world is very detailed... down to the languages that they use. The author even invented a new language(Abh) for the purpose of the story and numerous guide books have been written on it(tho it's in jap, sorry. heh)

Tokyopop has just begin selling vol1 of the series, Crest of the Stars : Princess of the Empire, and that's what i've been reading... it was quite a blast. ;P

There's a new GITS, known as Solid State Society. Don't know when is it available for download. It is the same as individual Eleven?
